I too was one of the lucky ones on the trial and I have say, I have never felt better. Katherine is a gentle soul and I so agree with Patsy about the non-threatening environment. I loved the program and saw wonderful results. I can fit into pants that I haven’t been able to do up for a long time. That said, it is not a diet, it is a lifestyle. As so many of us talked about, one isn’t hungry. I have tried every diet known to man since I was 15 years old and I am confident that this is program I can stick to. I will look forward to my weekly meetings with Katherine in order to keep on track. Thanks to Katherine and the wonderful supporting people in afternoon sessions. I would highly recommend Katherine’s counseling. She really knows her stuff!

I was one of the lucky people that was given the opportunity to take part in the 4 week weight loss program with Katherine. I have tried everything in the past and would do well for a while but would lose motivation, was starving and end up giving up. Katherine’s gentle approach,very informative, and interesting topics made it an easy program to follow. I found myself looking forward to the Wed. night sessions where I had to be accountable for my week but didn’t feel judged if I didn’t do well (like after Thanksgiving). Katherine teaches that it is a lifestyle not a diet. You feel better within one week once you are on the program. I have now signed up for the next 6 week program that starts next week. I plan to stay with Katherine until I reach my weight loss goal. I would highly recommend katherine for anyone who is serious about living a healthier lifestyle.

ld like everyone to know how one or two simple changes can change your life and how Katherine Parent was instrumental in helping me make those changes. I met Katherine in the spring at a women’s retreat where she gave a talk on healthy eating and even made a yummy salad to show us how easy it is to eat healthy. She introduced me to the avacado. Now before this I would not have ventured into the realm of unknown foods esp. something as green and ugly as an avacado but thanks to Katherine I did and now the avacado is one of my favourites foods. She can tell you the health benefits of this amazing food and they are legion me I eat it because it is so yummy. Another change I made because of the information Katherine provided was to drink a glass of water first thing in the morning before I do anything else. This helps flush out any toxins (I think that is right) in your system. I also have something to eat (an apple or something light) before I go for my morning walk and this helps me walk longer and further because my stomach isn’t grumbling for breakfast and I always eat a healthy breakfast now. Before I met Katherine I was starting on the road to a healthier me but meeting her and listening to what she had to say encouraged me even more and I am happy to say I am the healthiest and happiest I have ever been. Thank you so much Katherine for helping me make “Good Choices”.

I started to see Katherine August of 2011 I had not been well for many years, especially since menopause when I could not seem to control my weight. She understood and I felt comfortable talking about my concerns right from the first visit. She always took the time to answer my questions and to explain in a very clear way what I needed to do and why she was making these suggestions. she personalized the suggestions she made so they would fit into my lifestyle. She gave my support and encouragement along the way. If I had any questions all I had to do was email them to her and she would respond quickly. Dear Katherine, I wanted to take a few moments to thank you again for everything you have done for me. Before I met you I was not in a good place where my health was concerned. Between Hysterectomy recovery and then being diagnosed with Diverticulosis, I was feeling very worn out and unhealthy. The medications I was on to recover literally took everything out of me and I was very tired of feeling so sick all the time. I was on a mission to live healthier but didn’t know which way to turn because there is so much confusing information out there and everything I tried wasn’t helping. Then I met you at the Women’s Show here in Barrie. Since I started following your advise, my life has changed dramatically. I can’t remember the last time I felt so good. I no longer suffer from the pain of diverticulitis, or indigestion and I finally have my energy back from such a harsh surgery. I was just looking to get my energy back and not every suffer from diverticulitis again. I got that and so much more – my skin is better, my energy levels is up, my mood is better, I sleep better and I have lost weight….all a wonderful side effect from following your advise. I hate the word DIET – it is such a four letter word. What you taught me wasn’t a DIET – it was an education so I could make better choices. I was able to take all of your advise and make it work for me and my family. The most dramatic difference for me is that my very picky 9 year old daughter has started following my lead and is eating better as well and I am so grateful for that. Hey Katherine, I really enjoyed the time I spent with you. I learned things from you that I didn’t know before that I found very beneficial. The test booklet that I did was time consuming but the end results were fairly true and made sense with the problems that I had that I never knew how to solve. I finished your Zest for Life weight loss program in December and I wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you. I set a goal to lose 10 lbs and am now down 14 lbs. I’m once again wearing the clothes I haven’t been able to fit into for the past 2 years. What I hadn’t counted on, however, was how much better I’d feel. Your Zest for Life program did more than help me lose weight. It helped me to eat better and be kinder to my body. I have tons more energy now. I sleep like a baby and no longer wake up tired every morning. Diet programs in the past have always meant deprivation for me. I’d eat less and stay hungry to lose weight. Who knew that I could actually eat more every day and lose weight in the process? Well, I guess you knew. I too was chosen for this weight loss study as well and I must admit that it is easy. Katherine explained the concept and the program and it makes such simple sense. Through a great group of women and a great leader the accountability makes the process easier. Katherine explains and demonstrates a concept that can be followed by everyone.
